I care about the people who build companies, and the tech they build them on.
There's almost always a technical problem hiding behind a business one. It's the kind of thing that's easy to miss. I work problems from first principles: start with what's fundamentally going on underneath, then fix things from the ground up. That instinct is what every job I've held has come back to.
I've spent eighteen years inside companies that ran on software. Microsoft for the early years: search infrastructure and the knowledge graph behind Bing. Airbnb through the pre-IPO hypergrowth window, leading architecture for the vacation rental APIs. Virta Health for four years, running the teams behind customer onboarding and billing as the company scaled from 50 to 700.
I live in Oakland with my wife and three kids. Most weekends are some combination of swimming pools, martial arts dojos, and East Bay bike trails. In winter we head up to the mountains to ski as often as we can. I came to the Bay Area for software. I stayed for the weather and the geography.
More about meA B2B software or tech-enabled services business doing $500K to $1.5M+ in SDE, with recurring or repeatable revenue, sticky customers, and an owner ready to transition over six to twelve months.
